Well you know how that story turned out.  As it was with American Idol this year.  The slow starter wins the race with his pleasant but humble personality and talent that couldn't be stopped in the end.    I saw this happening quite a few weeks ago.   Once Kris found his cliche and confidence there was no stopping him.

Adam, obviously the one to beat, gave exciting performances every week, and probably the most interesting idol ever.  His performance with Queen was outstanding.  His name will be around for a very long time.

I have to say, this was one of the most exciting Idol finale's ever, and season eight was certainly one of the best, making up the most talented group.

Our viewers Poll results had Adam as the winner.

Adam 55%,  Kris 42%,   a tie 3%

Thank you for participating!!

FINAL TWO

Who will it be?   Adam is definitely unique in his ability to shine in whatever genre he chooses.  However, do we really know what category he belongs in?   His style and charisma is one of a kind and it doesn't hurt that he looks like Elvis with a little Prince and well the list goes on.  So where does he fit in the whole scheme of things?  What will we hear when we turn our radio on?  That is to be determined.

As for Kris, he is a set commodity of the best kind. He knows what he does best, we know what he does best and the young generation love his style.    He is genuinly a likeable guy with a bit of a quirky way about him.  Close your eyes and you can imagine his sound on your favorite radio station.   Is it possible with a million votes between them, that Danny's voters will now vote for Kris?    Is Kris the dark horse that has taken over quickly yet quietly in his refined state?

Whatever the outcome I truly believe that this year's top four will go on to have successful careers in the music business.

Who should win?

The question asked of a Miss USA Pageant Contestent seems to be drawing quite a bit of attention and not surprisingly.  How dare a question such as this be asked. What happened to questions like "What do you feel you could do to help victims of disasters?"  Instead she was given a very controversial question that in my opinion should not have been asked of her to answer.  Of course she is going to answer honestly.  Isn't that what we want in our Pageant winners, honesty?

So why ask such a controversial  question if you may not be happy with the answer.  Someone's personal thoughts on an issue so split as the gay marriage subject should not be reason to change the outcome of the eventual winners.

I would be interested to read some comments on this.  During the competition, Hilton was chosen to ask Prejean a question, and proceeded to inquire about her views on same-sex marriage. She answered that it was "great" that the option is available in some states, but that "in my country and in my family, I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman -- no offense to anyone out there."

START SMOGGIN 04/04/2009

Have your say.   This is your place to smog.

I think it is going to be very close. The top four will be Adam, Allison, Danny and Chris.   Chris is definitely the dark horse in this competition.   He has great potential to win and is showing more of his talent each week.  It's a hard choice to make when there is so much talent, amazing talent!  What do you think?

A ROYAL TOUCH 04/04/2009

With all that's going on in the world, I am happy to see the Queen has a soft side and is able to give up protocol and show us her human side.  I think the affectionate touch between Michelle Obama and Queen Elizabeth was a wonderful site to see.  Forget protocol, this is modern times.  What do you think?
